Our Mission
At Circus (Xetra: CA1), headquartered in Munich, we are pioneering global developments in on-demand autonomous food production. Everything from creation to production and operation – enabled by seamlessly integrated cutting-edge robotics and transformative AI technology.
Our foundation rests in the extensive developments of groundbreaking robotics driven by artificial intelligence, previously the missing link in achieving true autonomous food automation. This is the moment for a new status quo: Just as autonomous driving will disrupt how we build cities, organize our days, and live our lives, so will we shift our whole reality around food.
Our Team is backing a paradigm shift in one of humanity's most important sectors with the sharpest minds in Robotics, AI, Engineering and Culinary, collaborating closely with industry-leading partners to revolutionize every aspect of the food service experience.
Join us as we forge ahead, crafting a future where the art of cooking and the science of technology converge to create a world that thinks differently about food than it has for thousands of years—a world where food means something new.
About the Role
This is a field-based role embedded directly at our partner sites in the Ingolstadt area. You'll support locations through their most important phases - ensuring the robotic kitchen runs flawlessly and that customers, staff, and partners feel supported from day one.
You're the person on the ground: running daily maintenance routines, keeping the system in top shape, and being the calm, competent face of Circus on-site. No engineering degree required — but a genuine interest in how things work and the hands-on confidence to act on it. Your work directly shapes how our partners experience our technology in the real world.
Your Daily Business
- Carry out daily and weekly maintenance routines on the robotic kitchen system following structured checklists (full training provided).
- Monitor system performance and respond to irregularities — resets, configuration checks, escalation to tech support where needed.
- Ensure kitchen hygiene, food safety compliance, and operational readiness throughout the shift.
- Run quality checks on every meal output and intervene before anything substandard reaches the customer.
- Handle customer and partner inquiries with clarity and a solutions-first mindset.
- Document issues and recurring patterns and feed them back to the Ops and Product teams.
- Coordinate ingredient deliveries, stock levels, and prep schedules to avoid operational gaps.
Base Qualifications
- Genuine hands-on curiosity — you like understanding how things work and aren't fazed when something needs fixing.
- Prior experience in a practical role: food operations, hospitality, field service, or anything where you worked with your hands and your head.
- Strong communication skills in German and English.
- Comfortable in customer-facing environments and adaptable across different settings.
- Reliable, precise, and calm under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic familiarity with technical or mechanical maintenance — even from a hobby or non-professional context.
- Experience with hygiene or food safety standards (HACCP or similar).
- Interest in robotics, automation, or food technology.
