purpose
The team lead accounts payable (AP) will be responsible for leading the accounts payable team. You are an expert in the field of purchase to pay with focus on accurate invoice processing, timely payment and proactive vendor management. The team lead AP ensures that the team can successfully perform their activities. The team lead AP has a thorough understanding of the AP and reports on this to all stakeholders. You will be required to apply your problem solving skills and look beyond our existing processes and procedures. You will drive continuous process improvement initiatives and foster a service culture and communications with stakeholders.

key responsibilities

  • Lead the AP team, ensuring optimization and effective use of our resources and time.
  • Leads the measurement and delivery of service levels and KPI targets
  • Manage day-to-day activities for the AP team.
  • Realize accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes and the preparation of internal reporting in accordance with local accounting rules.
  • Perform month-end account closing activities and reconciliations.
  • Create and monitor a robust vendor reconciliation process.
  • Develop, coach and train the AP team in their day-to-day tasks, in order to improve the quality of the process, controls and reporting.
  • Work closely and cooperate with business departments in the collection of financial data.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements and opportunities for standardization.
  • Ensure the AP team to deliver successfully and continuously improve each time our process, in line with our accounting strategy.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of the department and services performed.

qualifications / skills

  • Bsc or Msc in finance.
  • Ability to keep a broad overview, whilst no detail is too small and it’s possible to maintain structure, organization and the ability to work under pressure.
  • True team player.
  • Skilled multicultural communicator, with the ability to communicate on various levels and with different stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central 365 and ProQuro / Exact P2P is an advantage.
  • Potential to develop coaching and management skills.
  • Jump up from excitement by the idea of working in a dynamic, fast moving and transformational environment.
  • Familiar with agile way of working.
  • Fluent in English, Dutch or French is a plus.

  • Voorschoten Support Office. Hybrid working is possible two or more days in the office per week. No fully remote
