Join Axpo as a Senior Linux Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in the development and operation of our Linux systems within an enterprise hybrid cloud environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on system migrations to the cloud, manage VMware SAN storage, and ensure seamless data backup. What you will do:
- Develop and operate Linux (SLES / Ubuntu) systems.
- Manage VMware SAN storage and data backup systems.
- Plan and execute system migrations from on-premise to cloud (Azure).
- Support stakeholders in evaluating and implementing requirements.
- Optimize and enhance system efficiency within Axpo.
- Provide technical support in developing and updating ICT architectures.
What you bring & who you are:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science with extensive experience in Linux storage and data backup.
- Proficiency in working in agile teams.
- In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, GitHub).
- Expertise in Linux servers, container, and cloud platforms.
- Experience with server environments like VMware, Azure Arc, or Azure Stack HCI.
- Strong understanding of IT operations, system engineering, and security services.
- Excellent communication skills in English and good German skills.
