Sustainability Manager (m/f/d)

We are looking for you as Sustainability Manager (m/f/d) to join our team in Frankfurt (Germany) or Pratteln (Switzerland).

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain robust greenhouse gas reporting systems that capture, validate, and communicate emissions data across the organization’s value chain, ensuring compliance with reporting standards and stakeholder needs.
• Constantly improve and upgrade automated reporting to meet increased reporting requirements, ensure data integrity and auditor coordination.
• Lead the identification, quantification, and implementation of climate adaptation and mitigation, impacts, risks and opportunities in alignment with TCFD and CSRD.
• Analyse financial metrics, performance indicators and market analysis together with the business, collaborating closely with Finance and IT.
• Responsible to position Clariant’s climate strategy in external reporting, ratings and rankings.
• Drive a cross-functional team (matrix organisation) of sustainable procurement and sustainable business responsible and support communication, training and engagement of internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Industry Associations e.g. CEFIC, WBCSD to ensure thought leadership internally and externally.

Requirements

• Master Degree in environmental or sustainability management.
• 3+ years of experience in the chemical industry.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in project management.
• Ability to engage and motivate stakeholders.
• Ability to balance short and long-term views.
• Business fluent in English (written and verbal); every other language is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and be a self-driven person.
