Overview
As Manufacturing Engineer Central, you drive the planning, procurement, and installation of machines and tooling for series production. You provide engineering input to product innovation and support plants to optimize current equipment. You lead equipment and tooling projects, coordinate suppliers, and ensure compliant documentation. You work across a global manufacturing organization to standardize processes and enable new product introductions. This role offers the chance to impact manufacturing at scale across the EMEA region within a sustainability-focused battery leader.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Own the assigned series production processes, machinery, and tooling
- Create specifications and Statements of Work for equipment and tooling
- Lead equipment- and tooling-related projects with budget, timing, and output accountability
- Drive make-or-buy decisions with stakeholders
- Lead supplier selection and manage suppliers from concept to production
- Coordinate on-site installation, commissioning, acceptance, and handover with Operations and suppliers
- Ensure complete documentation (CE, CAD data, electrical schematics, records) in ME database
- Develop and optimize processes, machinery, and tooling for new product introductions and quality improvements
- Support optimization projects for existing machinery, processes, and tooling to boost efficiency and reliability
- Define and implement global standards for processes, machinery, and tooling
- Report to and collaborate with ME regions, Operations, Product Engineering, Quality, PM, Purchasing, Logistics
- Participate in multi-functional project teams
- Conduct DFA/DFM analyses and PFMEAs
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Engineering or technician degree (mechanical, mechatronic, or production) or comparable qualifications
- Minimum 2 years in automotive or high-volume production
- Electrical knowledge preferred
- Proven project management competency
- Strong communication and hands-on mentality
- Ability to build relationships in an international environment
- Proficient in CAD (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD or SolidWorks)
- Quality-minded with product knowledge
- Knowledge of CE regulations is a plus
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Advanced English and German (written and spoken); other languages a plus
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
