HV Substation Engineer

Our client who are a leading CxA are seeking HV Substation Engineers to join their team working across a large number of projects around Europe.

Due to these roles being across multiple countries in Europe, an EU passport is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Perform commissioning, testing, and energisation of HV systems (typically 110kV–400kV).
• Oversee functional testing of protection relays, switchgear, transformers, and control systems.
• Interface with DNOs, TSOs, EPCs, and client-side engineers to ensure safe and timely commissioning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during commissioning phases.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain detailed documentation and handover reports for each site.

Requirements:

• Strong background in HV substation engineering and commissioning.
• Familiarity with transmission and distribution infrastructure and utility protocols.
• Able to interpret single line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• EU Passport or Right to Work in Europe (essential).
• Willingness to travel and work across various European locations .
