Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their expanding team. Scope of the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, integration, and continuous improvement of shopfloor operations across the client's offsite manufacturing facilities.
Working closely with site leadership and production teams, you will ensure manufacturing activities are aligned with project requirements, customer demand, and operational objectives. Your responsibilities will include production planning and scheduling, workforce planning, monitoring work-in-progress, resolving shopfloor issues, and identifying opportunities for ongoing process improvements.
The role is based in Schönebeck, Germany, with occasional travel to other manufacturing locations as required to support operational collaboration and business growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule manufacturing activities to maximise production capacity and efficiency.
- Analyse existing production methods and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Continuously review manufacturing processes to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to introduce process improvements and new manufacturing technologies.
- Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives and process optimisation projects.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, standard operating procedures, and quality standards.
- Support workforce planning and resource allocation to meet production targets.
- Assist in the resolution of production and operational challenges to ensure delivery schedules are achieved.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 to 4 years' experience in a manufacturing, production engineering, or continuous improvement role.
- Strong knowledge of process optimisation methodologies, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with CAD software is desirable.
- Project management experience would be advantageous.
- Ability to make effective decisions in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- German and English language skills would be beneficial.
