We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to play a key role in our technology team at Clermont Hotel Group. Based in our Central Support Office, the successful candidate will have a strong background in solution design and architecture. This individual will be responsible for producing and maintaining architecture documentation, as well as advising the business on optimal technology solutions to meet our objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that new applications and modifications to existing applications meet both current and future business and IT requirements.
- Ensure that the design meets the strategic IT direction where applicable.
- Analysing business requirements in order to develop application designs that meet their needs.
- Ensure the design takes into account any non-functional requirements and also assist the business analyst in considering or documenting any further non-functional requirements which arise during the system design process.
- Ensure that the traceability matrix is followed, updated and managed in co-ordination with the business analyst.
- Interpreting and translating business requests into technical requirements.
- Working with Business Analysts and any Technical specialists and suppliers to produce a Detailed Design Document to be followed by internal or external development teams.
- Working closely with all relevant parties to review any technical designs and ensure they meet the requirements of the Solution Design.
- Providing application knowledge to the business for the design of IT solutions.
- Assist in the architectural evaluation of new and existing software packages.
- Responsibility for the system test strategy, plans and conditions and ensure the system design will be tested fully.
- Plan and monitor tasks and liaise with the project manager, taking responsibility for ensuring these are achieved to plan and any associated risks and/or issues are managed and communicated accordingly.
- Assist the support teams where necessary to resolve service tickets.

- Internal relationships project specific stakeholders ensuring that business processes are designed effectively and that the ways of working are captured.
- Wider IT Team To understand system implications/constraints relating to proposed process changes.
- Project Managers Ability to synthesise complex information and communicate it in a concise & compelling manner.
