Job Description
Purpose of the role
- Shape and drive the growth strategy for our private equity practice, focusing on Continental Europe.
- Lead business development, enhance client relationships, and increase market share in key financial centers.
- Collaborate with PE partners and the CMD team to identify and pursue new business opportunities passionately.
Responsibilities
Strategy and Implementation
- Develop and execute regional PE business development and marketing strategies aligned with global priorities.
- Lead regional activities, foster intra-group collaboration, and track progress to meet goals.
- Conduct research on market trends, clients, prospects, and competitors to inform strategic decisions.
Client and Market Development
- Serve as the regional expert for PE BD and marketing priorities, activities, and campaigns.
- Facilitate information flow to promote cross-selling and client relationship growth.
- Create high-quality marketing and client-facing materials; support regional RFPs and client engagement initiatives.
- Manage oversight of key clients and prospects, including relationship leads and feedback processes.
Marketing and Reputation Building
- Identify legal and commercial developments to develop marketing campaigns and thought leadership.
- Coordinate flagship events and initiatives, evaluate marketing ROI, and support awards and directory submissions.
- Liaise with PR to leverage media opportunities.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in business development within law or professional services, focused on private equity.
- Deep understanding of private equity markets and key players.
- Proven success in developing and executing BD strategies and marketing initiatives.
- Excellent relationship-building, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience with RFP processes and producing marketing materials; proficiency with tools like Preqin, Pitchbook, Capital IQ, Mergermarket.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields; MBA or similar preferred.
