In this leadership role, you will own Climeworks’ global HSSE strategy and oversee corporate facilities, shaping a consistent safety culture across production sites, testing facilities, and headquarters. You’ll balance enterprise risk ownership with hands-on operational execution to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient workplaces. You’ll lead regulatory engagement, executive safety reporting, and a high-performing facilities team, driving continuous improvement. This role sits at the core of our scaling journey, linking safety, facilities, and business performance.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Define and implement global HSSE strategy, standards and policies across locations
- Own and continuously improve safety programs across facilities and workplaces
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and foster collaboration
- Manage executive reporting for safety performance and lead improvement actions
- Provide strategic hands-on leadership in corporate facility management at HQ and share best practices
- Act as primary contact for internal and external facility-related matters
- Oversee financial and contractual management of HSE and facilities contracts
- Align HSSE standards with corporate workplace execution
- Lead and develop HSSE and Facilities Management teams
- Be the single point of accountability for safety and workplace operations
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor in Occupational Health and Safety (or related field)
- 10+ years of HSSE leadership experience in industrial, energy or process environments
- Strong expertise in corporate workplace safety, construction safety, and production safety; familiarity with COHS standards
- Solid financial acumen including budgeting and cost control
- Strategic thinker with ability to translate strategy into operations
- Proven leadership and people development skills; cross-stakeholder collaboration
- Clear communication with internal and external stakeholders; ability to influence at all levels
- Experience managing contractors, vendors, and facility operations
- High ownership, accountability, and decision-making; comfortable with change and complex environments
- Fluent in German and English; willing to travel ~10% including site visits to Iceland and testing facilities
