Overview
In this role you drive the industrialization of mechanical components and systems, turning concepts into robust, manufacturable equipment. You will lead mechanical design, ensure technical readiness, and oversee validation and documentation across cross-functional teams. You’ll mentor engineers, manage external design partners, and maintain audit-ready records that support compliance and continuous product improvement. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead industrialization of mechanical components and systems for scalable manufacturing
- Technically own CAD design and 2D manufacturing drawings, ensuring readiness per development plan
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration, mentor engineers, and oversee external design resources
- Ensure design correctness and completeness from specs to BOMs with compliance focus
- Own and present design reviews, approve technical documentation and BOMs
- Define validation units, coordinate prototype fabrication, participate in testing, and drive improvements from test findings
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
- 12+ years designing mechanical components for industrial machinery
- Deep expertise in metal and sheet metal design, manufacturing processes, and DFMA
- Proficiency in CAD and creating high-quality technical drawings; GD&T knowledge
- Strong materials knowledge, regulatory compliance awareness
- Excellent communication in English; able to mentor and work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage external design resources and drive technical decision-making
