About the client
Our client, a global leading Lithium-ion battery cell manufacturer and energy storage provider, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their growing sales team in Germany. This role is responsible for driving growth in the EV market by developing a strong pipeline of opportunities, managing customer relationships, and ensuring successful deal execution. The successful candidate will work closely with internal engineering, marketing, and sales teams to translate market needs into actionable solutions and deliver commercial results.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the electric vehicle (EV) battery market, developing and executing strategic growth plans.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with potential clients, including OEMs and battery integrators.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, production, sales) to ensure client requirements are met efficiently.
- Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of B2B business development experience in the EV, ESS or battery industry.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to conduct market analysis and develop strategic plans.
- Fluency in English; willingness to travel as needed.
