For our locations in Hamburg or Bremen, we are looking for a Head of Project Logistics DECH (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible.
Your Further Role:
- Develop and execute comprehensive logistics strategies for large-scale, multi-phase projects.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of logistics professionals.
- Identify, qualify, and negotiate with logistics service providers and vendors.
- Maintain and expand the Germany-wide customer base.
- Monitor logistics KPIs, budgets, and service levels; take corrective actions to meet cost and performance targets.
- Ensure compliance with international and domestic regulations, including import/export laws and safety standards.
- Implement risk management strategies to address delays, damages, and force majeure events.
What We Want:
- Degree in logistics, business, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on project logistics.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing business strategies; experience working in multicultural teams and across borders.
- Experience in communicating at all organizational levels up to and including C-Level.
- Local market knowledge and negotiating skills.
- Cost-conscious behavior and reliability.
- Proficient in English and German (written and spoken).
- Proficient in MS Office.
- High customer and service orientation with the ability to self-organize.
- Strong communication skills, team spirit, and commitment.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel.
