Overview
In this role you will lead financial governance, control and strategic insight for the European entities, ensuring accurate reporting and robust processes. You will partner with senior management and Group Finance to drive planning, performance analysis and continuous improvement. You’ll oversee statutory reporting under IFRS and HGB, coordinate audits, and support multi-entity financial operations at scale. This is a hands-on, high-impact position in a multinational finance function.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Financial Control & Reporting: manage operations and reporting for European entities in Germany, lead statutory statements (IFRS and HGB) and coordinate external audits
- Balance sheet control and reconciliations governance and month-/year-end close
- Own key controls: monthly reconciliations, balance sheet substantiation, segregation of duties
- Oversee outsourced Accounts Payable operations to ensure timely, accurate processing
- Budgeting and rolling forecasts in partnership with business leaders, linking performance to strategic goals
- Provide detailed financial analysis and KPI tracking to support management decisions
- Lead and develop a small management accounting team, fostering high performance and growth
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or CFA/MBA in Finance/Business
- 5+ years international experience in financial reporting, FP&A, budgeting and audit coordination in financial services, banking or multinational setting
- Proven ability to manage statutory reporting under IFRS and HGB and coordinate external audits
- Experience leading multi-entity regional finance operations and cross-functional collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to drive efficiency improvements and support strategic financial initiatives
- Advanced Excel skills; proficient in Oracle
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management across international teams
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure
