The Role
Are you passionate about creating transformative learning experiences and driving performance in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment? As Head of Learning and Development, People & Culture, you will take ownership of a strategic agenda to design and deliver innovative learning programmes that enhance performance, embed cultural alignment, and support organisational growth. In this role, you will also play a critical part in performance management, ensuring that learning initiatives are integrated with performance frameworks and drive measurable outcomes. By partnering with senior leaders and key stakeholders, you will influence a learning-first culture and help individuals and teams thrive. Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and implement a learning and development strategy that drives performance and aligns with organisational goals.
    • Partner with senior leaders to identify key development opportunities and embed learning into performance and growth conversations.
    • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that learning is integral to business success.
  2. Programme Design & Delivery
    • Create and deliver innovative programmes that not only support leadership development, onboarding, and future skills training but also focus on fostering a strong and cohesive organisational culture.
    • Align learning pathways with performance management frameworks to support individual and team growth.
    • Ensure programmes are scalable, engaging, and designed to drive real-world impact.
  3. Performance Management Integration
    • Collaborate with People & Culture and business leaders to design performance management tools and processes that align with L&D initiatives.
    • Build frameworks that link learning outcomes with measurable performance improvements and business results.
    • Provide guidance on goal-setting, feedback, and career development processes to strengthen performance management practices.
  4. Future Skills & Talent Development
    • Identify emerging skill requirements and create programmes to ensure employees are prepared for future organisational needs.
    • Foster career development through tailored learning solutions, coaching frameworks, and mentoring opportunities.
  5. Innovation & Digital Learning
    • Leverage learning technologies and tools to deliver accessible, engaging programmes at scale.
    • Stay ahead of industry trends, incorporating cutting-edge techniques and technologies into the learning strategy.
  6. Measuring Impact & Continuous Improvement
    • Establish robust metrics to assess programme effectiveness and link learning initiatives to performance and business outcomes.
    • Gather feedback from stakeholders and participants to refine and enhance programmes over time.

What You Bring

  • Significant experience in senior L&D (People/HR function) roles, ideally with a background in performance management or multi-stakeholder environments (ideally Consulting & SaaS).
  • Expertise in leadership development, onboarding, and designing inclusive learning programmes.
  • Strong understanding of performance management frameworks and how they integrate with L&D strategies.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to gain alignment at all levels.
  • Strategic and hands-on delivery skills, with a proven track record of driving measurable impact.
  • Familiarity with digital learning tools and platforms to deliver modern, scalable solutions.
  • A passion for embedding learning and performance improvement into organisational culture.
