ph3Description /h3 /brpSwisslinx is supporting an international organisation based in Basel who are seeking an experienced Librarian / Information Manager to support the transformation of its library into a modern, AI-enabled knowledge centre. /p /brpThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of bresearch, libraries, knowledge management and emerging technologies /b. /p /brpWorking within a small Information Governance Management team, you'll play a key role in enabling researchers and subject matter experts to discover, access and make effective use of high-quality information resources. This role combines traditional library services with digital innovation, information management and AI-enabled service development. /p /brul /brliDeliver advanced literature searching, reference and research support to internal stakeholders. /li /brliProduce research briefings, current awareness bulletins and curated information resources. /li /brliManage the development and maintenance of print and digital collections. /li /brliAdminister library platforms, discovery tools and metadata. /li /brliCreate and maintain high-quality catalogue records, taxonomies and controlled vocabularies. /li /brliManage electronic resources, subscriptions, licensing and supplier relationships. /li /brliCollaborate with IT and business stakeholders to improve information access and user experience. /li /brliIdentify, pilot and implement AI-enabled solutions to improve library services and knowledge management. /li /brliContribute to digital transformation, metadata improvement and library systems projects. /li /brliDevelop curated information resources and datasets to support AI-assisted research. /li /brliMonitor service performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. /li /br /ul /brpYou’ll be an experienced library or information professional who enjoys combining excellent customer service with technology and innovation. /p /brpThe following skills are mandatory: /p /brul /brliApproximately b3–5 years’ experience /b working independently in a professional library, research library or information management environment. /li /brliA Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in bLibrary Information Science, Information Management or a related discipline /b. /li /brliExperience delivering literature searching, research support or reference services. /li /brliPractical experience administering library systems and digital information platforms. /li /brliExperience with metadata standards, taxonomies and controlled vocabularies. /li /brliExposure to digital transformation, AI implementation, metadata remediation or library systems projects. /li /brliExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills. /li /brliThe ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently. /li /brliIdeally experience in a central bank or economic research institute, or a strong interest in economics. /li /br /ul /brpOur client offers: /p /brul /brliThe opportunity to work in a diverse and international environment on a long-term basis. /li /brli50% working from home. /li /brli20 days working remotely from abroad per year. /li /brliModern office in central Basel (50 minutes direct train from Zurich) with subsidised canteen. /li /brliTwo stage interview process (conducted via video call). /li /br /ul /brpIf you’re an experienced Librarian with a passion for information management, digital innovation and delivering exceptional research services, we’d love to hear from you.
