Analytics Engineer

My client are looking for a talented Analytics Engineer to join a growing retail business team. This fully remote position gives you the opportunity to work across Germany, shaping data models, pipelines, and semantic layers to empower business decisions. You’ll play a key role in turning raw data into actionable insights for commercial, marketing, and operations teams.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data models and pipelines in Snowflake
• Develop and optimize semantic layers to ensure consistent metrics and KPIs across business units
• Build transformations and data workflows using dbt (Data Build Tool)
• Collaborate with data analysts, BI teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions
• Implement best practices for data quality, governance, and performance optimization
• Translate complex business needs into clean, documented, and reusable data models
• Contribute to the design and evolution of the company’s data architecture and analytics strategy

Your Profile

• Strong experience in Snowflake and dbt, with a proven track record in building analytics pipelines
• Knowledge of semantic layer development and maintaining consistent metrics / KPIs across dashboards
• SQL expertise and ability to work with structured and semi-structured data
• Understanding of modern data warehousing and analytics best practices
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Fluent in German (C1+) essential for collaboration with business stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a fully remote environment across Germany
