About the team and the position

Our Solution Architect team is a team of 20. We consist of people with various backgrounds, all with a passion for technology. The Solution Architect team is a professional service group responsible for the technical architecture in Cognite’s customer delivery projects. We facilitate the technical setup, translating requirements into solution design and governance processes. In short, we set the customers up for success with a solid digital foundation.

As Cognite’s customer base grows, so does the need for talented Principal Solution Architects. We are looking for Solution Architects for two different types of teams: Customer-facing project teams and our internal enablement team.

As a Solution Architect in a customer-facing project, you will work directly with key customers, field sales, delivery, and product development teams. You will use your technical competencies to help leading Norwegian and international industrial customers increase productivity and profitability, reduce environmental impact and reduce costs. Together with the team, you will define solutions and support each integration through to a successful finish.

As a Solution Architect in the internal enablement team, you define best practices and tools for the delivery teams and act as an advisor to the teams, as well as contribute to the lifecycle management of the solutions delivered. You also work closely with the product development teams and may work with sales.

A successful candidate for this role has around 10 years or more relevant experience from a similar position. You must be highly organized, thorough, and communicate well with all stakeholders. You will be required to collaborate, lead and coach, as well as work independently. Your work will have a real impact on the success of Cognite and our customers. It is a challenging role, but you’ll be part of a great team that helps you excel and succeed! You have a passion for technology and “how things work”. You will work in technology-intensive environments and be challenged on solving problems in unexplored territory. You should be comfortable and interested in detailed technical design and code behaviour.
