Director Supply Chain (W/M/D)

We are supporting a global leader in the automotive industry in their search for a result-driven Supply Chain Director to join their team on-site in Stuttgart. In this role you will be essential in guiding our client along their long-term roadmap, optimising efficiency, reducing costs and increasing the overall capabilities of the supply chain function. This role requires a strategic and analytical thinker with a passion for best in class customer service to drive the function to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full end-to-end scope – Covering demand planning, procurement, inventory/warehousing, production, logistics and distribution
• Supplier relationships – Negotiate and manage contracts, monitor performance and supplier risk mitigation.
• Process optimisation – Identify areas for continuous improvement and increase process efficiency.
• Warehouse Management – Take full control of all warehouse operations including layout, material management initiatives and automation projects.
• Compliance and Sustainability – Ensure all supply chain activities are compliant with all necessary legal and sustainability regulations.
• Technology Integration – Lead training and be a key user on all necessary Supply Chain softwares (e.g. SAP EWM).

Key Skills:

• Business fluent German and English are required
• 5 years of experience within the automotive industry
• Demonstrable track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
• Extensive experience with relevant supply chain management tools.
• Strong experience with Analysis and reporting tools (such as BI) are highly advantageous.
