We are supporting a dynamic and innovative automotive company in the Frankfurt region, known for delivering high-quality products and solutions in the automotive sector, in their search for a Head of Supply Chain . This is an exciting time to join our client’s leadership team and play a critical role in driving the continued growth of the organisation by levelling up the supply chain function as the organisation targets the ongoing capture of further market-share. This is a great opportunity for a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who is looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment whilst growing and developing their own skills alongside the wider company growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the entire end-to-end supply chain function, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationships.
- Oversee demand planning, forecasting, and production scheduling in alignment with business needs.
- Optimize inventory management and warehouse operations to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategic supply chain initiatives to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations, including the optimization of inventory management and warehouse operations to reduce costs and waste as well as increase efficiency.
- Continuously monitor and improve the supply chain network, utilizing data analysis to identify trends, bottlenecks and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and environmental initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work culture.
Key skills Include:
- Business fluency in both English and German
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams through collaboration and mentorship
- Demonstrable history of end-to-end supply chain management, including procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier management.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of supply chain best practices and implementation methods
- In-depth knowledge of relative supply chain software (SAP knowledge is advantageous)
