Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and engineering of battery energy storage systems (BESS) for integration with solar power projects.
- Conduct site evaluations and feasibility assessments to determine the practicality of BESS deployment.
- Analyze, model, and size BESS solutions to optimize efficiency and performance.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless compatibility between BESS and solar PV
- Create, review, and refine technical specifications, system drawings, and project documentation.
- Ensure all designs and installations meet industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and safety requirements.
- Track BESS performance metrics, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements where necessary.
- Provide hands-on support during commissioning, system testing, and performance verification.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and trends in energy storage and renewable power systems.
- Offer mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
Qualifications & Expertise
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar energy engineering, BESS design, and implementation.
- Comprehensive understanding of solar PV systems, including design principles, installation, and maintenance.
- Strong expertise in battery energy storage, covering lithium-ion battery technology, power conversion systems, and battery management.
- Experience with modeling and simulation tools for energy management and system analysis.
- Knowledge of grid integration, power electronics, and control strategies for renewable energy applications.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering teamwork in a collaborative environment.
- Experience in project management is a plus.
