Role overview
An automation engineering role supporting a global data center provider that delivers hyperscale and edge infrastructure across multiple continents. The position joins a newly established team focused on building scalable, secure automation solutions across enterprise business functions as part of a move to an automation-first and AI-first operating model.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and enhance automation solutions supporting finance, operations, IT, and other enterprise functions
- Work independently to define automation approaches, system integrations, and technical solutions for both custom and commercial enterprise systems
- Evaluate automation platforms and select the most appropriate tools for each use case
- Build and maintain system integrations using APIs and middleware such as MuleSoft
- Design intelligent process automations using low-code and no-code platforms
- Apply system architecture principles to ensure solutions are scalable and maintainable
- Apply master data management principles to keep data consistent across automated processes
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize deployed automations for reliability and performance
- Document automation designs, data flows, and integration patterns
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in automation engineering, system integration, or a related technical role
- Strong hands‑on experience with UiPath, Blue Prism, Power Automate, MuleSoft, Zapier Enterprise, or similar platforms
- Experience designing and consuming APIs for system integration
- Practical scripting experience
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including Azure SQL or equivalent
- Understanding of master data management and enterprise data consistency
- Readiness to maintain at least four hours of daily overlap with EST
