We are looking for a Finance Lead to oversee the financial operations of our German business, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in reporting and strategic decision-making. Reporting to the Head of Group Finance Shared Services , this role is pivotal in driving financial strategy, process improvements, and business performance.

What You’ll Be Doing
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Set performance goals, monitor progress, and support professional growth.
- Encourage collaboration within finance teams and across the business.
Financial Operations & Reporting
- Take full ownership of financial processes, including accounts payable, receivable, expense processing, and general ledger accounting .
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain cash flow oversight and optimise financial resources.
- Own the P&L and balance sheet , ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and HGB standards.
- Provide meaningful insights on financial performance and variance analysis.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and financial best practices.
- Manage audits, tax consultants, and external reporting requirements .
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and risk mitigation strategies .
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify and implement efficiencies to streamline transactional finance.
- Support the adoption of new technologies and automation within finance operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Commercial, Group Accounting, Financial Services, and Business Partners.
- Engage with vendors, customers, and financial institutions to optimise processes.
What We’re Looking For
- Commensurate years of experience in a senior finance role, ideally in an international environment.
- Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS .
- Experience with MS Dynamics 365 Finance, SAP BPC , or similar financial reporting tools.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive process improvements, and implement financial best practices .
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills .
