Join as Procurement Manager:in at Comet Plasma Control Technologies in Aachen, Germany. Comet, a Swiss technology leader, is developing high‑tech components for plasma processes used in memory chips and touch screens.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end sourcing and purchasing across all product groups, aligning with global strategies, policy compliance, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimisation.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships; conduct regular performance and business reviews to ensure supply continuity, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor the full purchase‑order lifecycle and material availability; proactively communicate with stakeholders and address procurement risks, including obsolescence.
• Lead project sourcing, bill‑of‑materials calculations, and make‑or‑buy analyses in collaboration with cross‑functional teams to meet price, quality, and delivery targets.
• Implement efficient processes and tools (e.g., VMI, electronic data interchange) to reduce cycle time, cut costs, and enhance supplier collaboration.
• Manage and develop the regional procurement team, evaluating performance against KPIs (e.g., on‑time delivery, cost savings, working capital).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement or supply‑chain experience, including team leadership.
• Strong expertise in developing category and sourcing strategies, with analytical skills for cost‑saving identification, risk assessment, and supply‑chain problem resolution.
• Proven success in supplier management, negotiations, and contract administration; proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office for procurement and reporting.
• Experience in international, fast‑moving environments with the ability to deliver KPI‑driven results.
• Fluent English; German is a clear advantage.
