Public Security Assistant
Are you looking for a varied activity, useful to the community and without routine? At the heart of communal life, you will carry out missions as diverse as contact with the population, public security, traffic management, neighbourhood patrols, and tasks related to administrative police duties.
General mission
- Provide quality advice and reporting to users - Enforce municipal, cantonal and federal regulations - Control parking and manage traffic within the territory of Préverenges and partner municipalities - Installation of friendly speed cameras - Guarantee public security in partnership with the commercial police during various events or construction site sessions - Preventive presence regarding neighbourhood public security - Responsibilities arising from administrative police (naturalisation hearings, payment order notifications, etc.) - Reception & front desk / telephone reception and related follow-ups - Patrols aimed at maintaining public tranquillity - Protection of property and persons
Required skills
- Rigour, punctuality, reliability and good organisational sense - Proven public service orientation, interpersonal skills and discretion, with a real ability to adapt - Morality: clean ordinary and special criminal records, no judicial antecedents, no prosecutions or bankruptcy acts, and unknown to the Police - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Positive attitude and initiative spirit, solution-oriented - Proven skills in observation, analysis and synthesis of various situations encountered in the field - Good communication skills - Ability to develop a professional stance (distance, separation from private sphere) and to work under stress
Profile
- Maximum 2-3 years experience in a public administration - Holder of the public security assistant certificate: an asset. Possibility also to be trained as ASP. - Holder of another Federal VET Diploma (CFC): a requirement - Possession of a driving licence (category B) - Perfect mastery of office tools (Microsoft Office suite) - Strong level of French and good spelling (minimum C1 level) - Knowledge of English or German at B1 level: a plus; another European language an asset - Good endurance is necessary
