As the true headquarters of the Municipality, the Municipal Secretariat acts as a link between the Municipality and the administrative Services. The Municipal Secretariat's mission is notably to support the Municipality's activity to ensure the smooth running of the communal administration and to coordinate information between the Municipal Council and the Municipality.
Following the departure of the current post holder, we are advertising a position for
Deputy Municipal Secretary 90 to 100%
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Replacing the Municipal Secretary in their absence - Supporting the Municipality and the Syndic in their work - Managing the Municipal Registry team (3 people), responsible in particular for:
- organising and counting elections
- managing room and shelter rentals
- welcoming citizens and partners
- handling naturalisation application files
- Collaborating with communal services and the Municipal Council Secretariat and supporting them in their actions - Being the main point of contact with our IT partner - Ensuring the preparation of Municipality meetings - Managing potentially large-scale projects - Drafting correspondence, sometimes complex
Profile
- Tertiary education or equivalent training - At least five years’ experience in the administrative field - Strong experience in team management - Excellent organisational and planning skills - Proficiency in Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Excellent writing skills and perfect spelling - Good knowledge of legal and administrative principles as well as a good understanding of the political world, an asset - Experience in change management, an asset - Experience in supervising a commercial apprentice, an asset

Special conditions: the person will be required to work on Sundays during elections.
