IT System Administrator (m/f/d) permanent full-time

To strengthen our team, the city of Müllheim i. M. is looking for an IT System Administrator (m/f/d) for a permanent full-time position.

Your Tasks

• You will support and administer the network (LAN, WLAN, VPN) and IT infrastructure at administrative and educational facilities at locations in the Müllheim area and districts.
• You will work in 1st and 2nd level support.
• You manage user, group and policy guidelines and are independently responsible for the installation and operation of Windows-based application servers as well as client hardware and software.
• You take care of our VMware clusters, storage, IT security systems and administer the Microsoft server environment and data backup.
• You will be involved in the optimization, harmonization and further development of the IT infrastructure.
• You support the procurement of hardware, software and IT services.
• Standardization and automation of administration activities as well as creation and maintenance of infrastructure documentation are part of your tasks.
• You will look after the telecommunications systems (landline and mobile).

What You Bring With You

• Completed training as an IT specialist (m/f/d) specializing in system integration.
• Confident handling of Microsoft client and server operating systems.
• Confident handling of virtualization, storage and backup systems as well as network technology (VLAN, VPN, WLAN, LAN).
• Knowledge of databases and experience with inventories.
• High awareness of quality, data protection and IT security and knowledge of German (at least B2).
• Service orientation and strong communication and teamwork skills as well as initiative and resilience.
• Independent and meticulous way of working.
• Knowledge of the Powershell scripting language is an advantage, you can underline your profile with knowledge of information security (e.g. according to ISO 2700X).
