Senior Software Engineer (Backend, Go)

Responsibilities
Development of a
central internal tool for product/article lookup
Design and development of
scalable cloud backend applications in Go
Maintenance and gradual migration of
existing PHP/Symfony systems to Go
Development and further evolution of
REST APIs
for central data access
Aggregation of data from
multiple sources
and provision for frontend consumption
Ensuring
efficient data processing and high availability
Active participation in
solution design and architecture decisions
Working with
event-driven systems (Kafka)
Deployment and optimisation in
Kubernetes environments
Ensuring
high quality of deliverables (code, architecture, APIs)
Coaching and mentoring
junior developers (Go onboarding, daily support)
Requirements Mandatory Skills
Senior-level experience in
backend development
Strong experience with
Go (Golang)
in cloud environments
Expertise in
REST API design and development
Experience with
cloud-native architectures
Knowledge of
Microservices / service-oriented architecture
Hands-on experience with
Kubernetes
Strong database knowledge ( PostgreSQL / MySQL ) and exposure to
Elasticsearch
Ability to design solutions and take ownership
Fluent
German (mandatory)
Nice-to-have Skills
Experience with
Kafka (event streaming)
Exposure to
PHP / Symfony (migration context)
Knowledge of
Redis
Experience with
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Basic understanding of frontend ( React / TypeScript )
