Computer World Service, Corp. (CWS) is seeking a highly qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) to perform as the Senior Network Engineer to provide network (i.e. local, wireless, and wide area network) sustainment and deployment support services to military hospitals and clinics located throughout the European Union. Acts as the lead technical authority for European Union network operations, providing enterprise-level engineering, escalation support, and architectural guidance for DHA network infrastructure.Key Tasks & ResponsibilitiesServe as primary European Union and global SME for LAN/WLAN/WAN operationsLead resolution of complex network issues across all OSI layersProvide advanced configuration, installation, and troubleshooting supportGuide network design, implementation, and modernization initiativesInterface with Government, CSPs, GSPs, and external stakeholdersDevelop standards, policies, and technical proceduresPerform performance analysis and proactive network optimizationEnsure compliance with DoD/DHA security and architecture requirementsSupport firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS, and Zero Trust implementationsMentor and lead network engineering staffEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree + 5 years relevant experience or 10 years equivalent experiencePossess a mastery level of experience in routed, switched and shared LAN environments that operate such items as current supported versions of Microsoft OS, Windows Active Directory, UNIX and OpenVMS and employ routers, switches, and terminal servers as well as various local and long-haul WAN connectivity. Extensive experience with:Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)Network tools (SolarWinds, Ansible, ARMIS)Enterprise LAN/WAN environmentsExperience with deployed DoD SystemsExperience with DoD Health Care Information Systems is preferredCertificationsIAM Level III (DoD 8570/8140 compliant) – An active CISSP certification is requiredCCNP certification or ability and willingness to obtain this certificationSecurity ClearanceCandidates must have active Secret clearanceOther (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.)Work Environment: Work must be performed in Department of DefenseGovernment facilities, ideally within Landstuhl, Germany.Hybrid: Some hybrid work may be approved by the government customer.Travel: Must reside within commuting distance to a Department of Defense (DoD) hospital.Computer World Services is an affirmative action and equal employment opportunity employer.
