Quality Technician

Mission The Quality Technician ensures the execution of controls, measurements, tests and verifications necessary to guarantee the conformity of raw materials, components, products, processes and control means to internal procedures, applicable specifications and CONDIS quality requirements. He/She actively contributes to the reliability of controls and the continuous improvement of inspection methods, quality processes and measuring equipment. Through analysis, rigour and attention to detail, he/she participates in the identification, evaluation and control of quality risks.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Carry out incoming inspections of raw materials, components and customer returns in accordance with defined control plans and acceptance criteria. Perform final checks on capacitors to verify their conformity before release. Inspect production work-in-progress and report any deviations or non-conformities observed. Conduct compatibility tests according to applicable procedures and document the results. Participate in the approval of components and manufacturing processes by providing the necessary control data. Ensure follow-up of tests carried out within the framework of the ORT plan and projects. Perform chemical analyses on oil and components, interpret results according to established criteria and alert in case of deviation. Ensure calibration follow-up of measuring devices and ensure their availability for control activities. Establish, document and monitor non-conformity reports related to components, internal processes or customer complaints. Issue certificates of conformity when required by internal procedures or customer requirements.

Certificates / Diplomas and level of education

Federal VET Diploma (CFC) in a technical field, for example automation technician, polymechanic, mechanic, electrician, or equivalent training. Quality controller training desired, notably TQ0/TQ1 or equivalent. Basic knowledge of metrology, reading technical drawings and quality control methods.

Professional experience

Minimum 5 years of significant experience in an industrial environment. Experience desired in quality control, industrial production, metrology or technical testing. Experience in handling non-conformities or in an ISO certified environment is an asset.

Specific skills and knowledge

Good command of quality control methods, inspection and documentation of results. Solid knowledge of metrology and use of measuring instruments. Understanding of requirements related to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems. Ability to analyse deviations, identify potential causes and propose improvement actions. Proficiency in MS Office tools and ease in entering, monitoring and presenting quality data. Fluency in French; knowledge of English is desirable. Rigour, precision, attention to detail and respect for procedures. Analytical mindset, ability to prioritise activities and work methodically. Good team spirit and clear communication with production, quality, engineering and supply chain departments.
