Project Manager External Manufacturing (m/f/d, temporary, 100%)

Your Responsibilities

• Manage one or more product development projects for externally manufactured diagnostic consumables.
• Ensure definition and delivery of product requirements and specifications in alignment with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and procurement.
• Lead design and industrialization activities, including setup of manufacturing lines at external manufacturing sites from raw materials to final packaging.
• Monitor project scope, timelines, budget, resources, quality, and risks while ensuring timely delivery of work packages.
• Lead cross‑functional matrix project teams and drive continuous improvement in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Communicate project progress effectively to stakeholders and support supplier selection and maintenance.

Your Skills and Experience

• Degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a related technical discipline (BSc or MSc).
• Several years of project management experience in product development, manufacturing, MedTech, diagnostics, or a regulated industry.
• Knowledge of Process Management methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) and in‑vitro diagnostic related regulations, such as ISO 13485, IVDR, FDA 21 CFR part 820 etc.
• Experience with external manufacturing, supplier management, and industrialization projects.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, project planning, budgeting, and stakeholder management.
• Structured, proactive, and solution‑oriented working style with strong leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent German and English.
• Team player who works efficiently and flexibly in interdisciplinary teams.
• Decision maker, taking the lead where appropriate and necessary.
• Very good communication skills and ability to gain trust with various stakeholders (from shopfloor to senior management).
• International travel availability: 10–20%.
