About the Role
A rapidly growing, global Life Sciences business is seeking an Interim Accounts Payable Assistant to join their international finance team. Operating within a collaborative shared services environment, this role is key to supporting international expansion by handling end-to-end accounts payable and employee expense processing across multiple entities and currencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and manage cash allocation activities accurately and promptly.
- Manage employee expense claims, ensuring adherence to internal policies and proper approval flows.
- Support multi-currency payment runs and perform routine vendor statement reconciliations.
- Handle company credit card transaction logging and set up new vendor accounts.
- Assist with month-end finance activities, ad-hoc transactions, and journals.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external European vendors to resolve queries.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 3–5 years of accounts payable experience within an international or multi-currency shared services environment.
- Systems: Hands-on experience with SAP (ECC or S/4 HANA) and SAP Concur is required; NetSuite experience is preferred.
- Tax Knowledge: Good understanding of VAT coding and accounts payable controls.
- Languages: Business fluency in both written and spoken German and English.
- Mindset: Proactive, organized, and capable of managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
