Investment Manager

About the Role:

We are working with a leading European private equity firm specializing in impact investing, with a mission to drive measurable positive societal and environmental change alongside strong financial returns. The firm focuses on sectors such as healthcare, education, resource efficiency, and social impact-driven businesses.

The team is seeking a highly motivated Investment Professional to be based in Munich. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both Tier 1 strategy consulting and Tier 1 investment banking. You will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, executing, and managing investments, contributing to the firm\’s continued growth and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the full investment lifecycle, including deal sourcing, screening, due diligence, execution, and portfolio management
• Build complex financial models and conduct valuation analyses
• Prepare investment committee materials and recommendations
• Work closely with portfolio companies to drive value creation initiatives
• Conduct market research and assess sector trends within the impact investing space
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and fundraising efforts
• Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and with co-investors

Qualifications:

• 4–7 years of relevant experience
• Strong foundational experience from a Tier 1 strategy consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain)
• Subsequent experience in Tier 1 Investment Banking (top bulge bracket or leading boutique)
• Proven analytical, financial modeling, and valuation skills
• Demonstrated interest in private equity, impact investing, and purpose-driven investments
• Entrepreneurial mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment
• Fluent in English & German
• Willingness to be based in Munich
