Head of Modelling/Mapping Business Unit (m/f/d)

THE POSITION
We are looking for an experienced leader to drive the continued development, expansion and growth of the Modelling/Mapping business unit.
The team currently consists of one team leader and ten employees at the Neubrandenburg location. Two additional locations are being established, with the business unit experiencing strong growth overall.
- Orthophoto processing
- Creation of 3D models
- Creation of BIM as-built models
- BIM implementation consultancy
- Other GIS applications
- Development of an offshore workbench to expand data processing capacity
The position offers considerable scope to shape and develop the business. It requires an independent, entrepreneurial and team-oriented approach.
The salary package will reflect the level of responsibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The objective of this role is to drive the continued growth and development of the Modelling/Mapping business unit, expand its service portfolio and continuously improve the efficiency of the services offered.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, motivating and developing team leaders, while supporting the professional growth of employees
- Managing and advising existing clients
- Systematically acquiring new clients in coordination with senior management
- Further developing and expanding the business unit and its service offering
- Ensuring projects and contracts are delivered to the required technical standards, within budget and on schedule
- Ensuring compliance with budget targets and optimising existing project management processes
- Expanding the business unit's technical capabilities and organisational structure across teams and locations
- Working closely with the three other business unit heads and the executive management team
- Potentially taking on managing director responsibilities or power of attorney (Prokura) within relevant group companies, where those companies primarily operate within this business unit
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Professional Qualifications and Experience
- A successfully completed degree in Civil Engineering, Geoinformatics, Geodesy, Geography or a comparable discipline
- Demonstrable professional experience in modelling/mapping, particularly GIS, BIM or related fields
- Ideally, previous experience as a BIM Manager or in a comparable role
- An interest in technical innovation and the ability to actively develop and implement new technologies
- A successful track record in client relationship management and new business acquisition
- Proven leadership skills and management experience
- Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken, are essential (C1 level or equivalent minimum).
