Constructor Capital AG is a Zurich-based venture capital fund, responsible for all activities in the lifecycle of a venture capital fund, from investment management to operations and investor relationship management.
The team is looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated Fund Controller . You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting and accounting for our venture capital fund and management entity. In addition, you will oversee and execute various responsibilities within fund operations and report to the CFO / COO. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic global team and contribute to the success of Constructor Capital.
Responsibilities:
- Fund operations related data collation, validation, and review for reporting.
- Shadow accounting.
- Review and approve Net Asset Values and Financial Statements prepared by external service providers, including monitoring performance and rationalizing the NAV movement within the portfolio.
- Maintain clean data set up within systems and organized document files.
- Manage relationships with external providers ensuring effective communication and collaboration and adherence to agreed timelines and deliverables.
- Assist third-party partners associated with our registered funds, including auditors, fund administrators, and custodians, by coordinating workflows and reviewing deliverables.
- Obligation monitoring for the lifecycle of the fund.
- Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timely delivery of regulatory reporting.
- Foster open communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal results.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 3 – 5 years of experience in accounting, controlling, and ideally fund operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferably with a professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACCA).
- Ability to analyze financial data and contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Paralegal experience in implementing projects at a large scale is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Swiss financial landscape and regulations is a plus.
- Challenging mindset with a desire to understand the impact of operational risk exposures.
- Highly organized and able to work autonomously.
- Strong communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible, accountable, and adaptable with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and diverse global environment.
- Sharp analytical abilities and capability to manage tasks from initiation to completion.
- Service-oriented team player with an international mindset.
- Fluent in English; additional languages, especially German, would be an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
