Head of Corporate Communication (m/f/d)

Fulltime; 38.5 hours/week; permanent

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement an integrated corporate communications strategy aligned with Constructor University\’s goals and values.
• Lead external communications efforts including media relations, press releases, thought leadership, and crisis communications.
• Manage relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee internal communications to foster transparency, engagement, and alignment across all levels of the organization.
• Partner with senior leadership to support executive visibility through speaking engagements, op-eds, interviews, and social media.
• Drive strategic messaging and ensure a consistent brand voice across all channels.
• Manage reputation and issue monitoring, providing counsel on public affairs and risk mitigation.
• Manage relationships with external agencies and consultants.
• Provide clear direction and professional development to direct reports, ensuring alignment with overall strategy.
• Lead and inspire a high-performing team, including agency partners and consultants.
• Collaborate with Investor Relations, Marketing, Legal, and HR for cohesive messaging and campaigns.
• Measure and report on the impact of communications activities.

Leadership Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a small, high-performing team including:
• Press Spokesperson responsible for media relations and proactive positioning.
• Internal Communications Officer for cross-company messaging and employee engagement.

Your Profile:

• University degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
• Experience in public relations, content development, corporate or scientific communication.
• Proven track record in managing media relations and crisis communications.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Interest in science and higher education policy issues.
• Leadership experience and ability to influence stakeholders across functions and cultures.
• Understanding of corporate reputation management and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience working with C-level executives and handling sensitive communications.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.
