Your tasks

For the production area at the Villingen-Schwenningen location, we are looking for a student (m/f/diverse) for the summer semester from March 2025 as part of a compulsory internship for 6 months.

A combination of voluntary and compulsory internships is possible. The compulsory part is at least 12 weeks. The main tasks are carried out on-site at our Villingen location, but 1-2 days of remote work in the home office is also possible by arrangement.

Get on board, become part of Continental and also benefit from our Villingen Internship Program (VIP). You will create a concept for an automated empties warehouse in the area of plastic parts production at the Continental location in Villingen.

In order to always be able to supply production with enough empty containers, an automatic buffer warehouse for seven types of containers is required, which receives, stacks and stores containers, then unstacks them and delivers them individually to the AGV.

Your tasks:

  • Concept creation (mechanics/control) and independent project management
  • Conducting site analysis and selection
  • Creation of a detailed specifications sheet
  • Submit technical inquiries to suppliers
  • Connection to the AGV network (mechanics/software)
  • Present the concept to the management

Your profile

  • Students in the fields of mechanical engineering, medical technology, industrial engineering, (business) computer science or similar courses
  • Confident handling of common MS Office programs
  • Fluent written and spoken German skills (C2) are essential for close collaboration with production
  • Good written and spoken English skills (B1) are important for corporate communication
  • Flexibility, team spirit, creativity, independence & analytical thinking
