Job DescriptionThe Solution Architect WAN will be responsible to design, implement, and optimize our network services together with the internal teams.The incumbent will be responsible for designing a secure, reliable, and efficient architecture for network services related to the global WAN and cloud connect components that meet the needs of Continental Tires\‘ internal clients. We are seeking a skilled Network Architect to design, implement, and manage secure and scalable connectivity solutions for on-premise infrastructure and public cloud environments using SD-WAN technologies. This role is critical in enabling seamless hybrid cloud operations and ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security of enterprise network traffic.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement SD-WAN-based connectivity between data centres, branch offices, and cloud platformsConfigure and manage SD-WAN edge devices, cloud gateways, and orchestrators to ensure seamless hybrid connectivity.Define and enforce routing, segmentation, and security policies across hybrid environments.Support in managing, designing and operating the global hybrid SD-WAN environmentAutomate provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, or Python etc.Integrate and manage Checkpoint firewalls for secure perimeter and interconnect traffic.Design, implement and manage Azure & AWS Network Firewall policies for traffic inspection, filtering, and segmentation in cloud environments.Qualifications Preferred Qualifications:Academic degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experienceSeveral years of experience in network architecture or a related role, with a focus SD-WAN and Cloud connectivityCertifications such as CCNP, CCIE or equivalentMicrosoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer AssociateAWS Certified Advanced Networking – SpecialistCheckpoint CCSA/CCSESkills:Strong understanding of network technologies protocolsExperience with network security principles and best practicesProficiency in designing and implementing complex network architecturesFamiliarity with multi-cloud connectivity and cloud-native security servicesProficient in English, both spoken and written and intercultural sensitivityProfound knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, trends and paradigms of ITGood Knowledge of Security TechnologiesHands-on experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and IPSec tunnelsExperience with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and SASE architecturesProven experience with SD-WAN technologyApplications from severely handicapped people are welcome.Additional InformationIndividual development planning based on your personal needs and targets (e.g. mentoring, trainings or global internal Software Academy)Work from home up to 2 days a week (unless workshops etc. require physical presence)Option to work from other EU countries up to 40 days per yearAgile and collaborative work styleOpportunity to make a differenceEmployee discountsAn international team across 4 locations in a globally active organizationCompany and tariff pension planHealth insuranceAssistance with child-careRelocation package offered if neededCanteen on-siteOn-site physiciansSabbatical optionIf this sounds like a perfect match for you and if you want to become the next supporter of our core values Trust For One Another, Passion to Win and Freedom to Act, we are looking forward receiving your application.Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging are important to us and make our company strong and successful.
