We are looking for a Databricks & Tableau Architect for a reporting transformation project focused on modernizing an existing BI environment. The role combines Databricks , Tableau and semantic data modelling, with responsibility for target reporting architecture, performance and reusable standards. Required are strong hands-on Databricks experience, Tableau development and BI/reporting architecture expertise.
Project
modernization of an existing reporting environment and transition from cube-based architecture to a modern BI platform
design of target reporting architecture across Databricks, semantic layer and Tableau
hands-on implementation of selected reporting use cases and optimization of existing solutions
definition of reusable standards, data and semantic models and performance best practices
Skills
strong hands-on experience with Databricks
Tableau development including live connections and extracts
Business Intelligence data modelling and semantic modelling concepts
Databricks Metric Views and optimization for BI/reporting consumption
integration of Tableau and Databricks
performance tuning of large reporting datasets and query optimization
ability to decide where business logic belongs: Databricks/data layer, semantic layer or Tableau/frontend
experience designing BI/reporting architecture and combining architect-level thinking with hands-on development
