As part of our Finance team, the Financial Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of our financial operations. The position involves maintaining proper accounting records, monitoring payments, and supporting the preparation of financial statements. Working closely with colleagues and external partners, the role contributes to process optimization and supports audits. Professional experience in financial accounting is essential to ensuring financial integrity and supporting the company’s sustainable growth.

Your Responsibility

  • Independent accounting of general and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Monitoring, reconciling, and clarifying accounts, including the processing of open items.
  • Handling bank transactions and managing petty cash.
  • Reviewing and posting operating and ancillary cost statements.
  • Close collaboration with insurance providers and financial partners.
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB).
  • Assisting during internal and external audits, including tax audits.
  • Actively contributing to the further development and digitalization of financial processes.

What you need to succeed

  • Completed vocational training in accounting/finance or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in financial accounting (GL, AP, or AR)
  • Hands-on experience with month-end and year-end closing (HGB)
  • Confident in account reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
  • Practical experience with accounting software (e.g., DATEV) and Excel (pivot tables, lookups)
  • German (C1) and English (B2), written and spoken
  • Understanding of VAT regulations (Germany/EU)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a structured way
  • Team-oriented with clear and professional communication skills
