Public Health Scientist, Government Services

About the role
We are seeking a Public Health Scientist to support health investigation and advisory work conducted on behalf of government and institutional clients. This role requires scientific rigour, strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and conduct public health investigations and epidemiological analyses
- Prepare scientific reports, policy briefs and summary documents for government and institutional clients
- Engage with public health authorities, government departments and institutional stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of evidence-based recommendations and advisory outputs
- Support field data collection and community health engagement activities as required
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in public health, epidemiology or a related discipline
- Minimum three years of experience in applied public health, health investigation or a related advisory role
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Experience engaging with government or institutional clients
- Willingness to travel for field work when required
