About the Role
Step into a hands‑on leadership role at Corning as our System Engineer (SE) Manager, EMEA.
You'll lead a team of System Engineers, who are Corning’s product and system experts supporting three exciting markets: AI Data Centers, Carrier, and LAN networks for buildings and campuses.
Your team is the go‑to resource for passive structured cabling solutions – advising customers on product selection and system design, and serving as the technical bridge between our customers, Field Engineers, and internal Development and Product teams.
- What You’ll Do
- As a Technical Expert
- Deliver technical support, training, and presentations on Corning's passive structured cabling portfolio to end customers, installers, and distribution partners across AI Data Center, Telecom, and LAN markets.
- Advise customers on product applications – explain benefits, value propositions, and provide detailed part numbers for complete system solutions.
- Respond to customer RFIs with full system solutions, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and drawings tailored to their requirements.
- Provide pre‑sales support: product recommendations, system design, installation training, and testing.
- Create datasheets and technical papers, and deliver clear Corning vs. competitor product comparisons.
- Share feedback with Development and PLM on product improvements, new ideas, and compliance with regional standards.
- As a People Leader
- Guide, coach, and develop your SE team – setting priorities, KPIs, and clear objectives while ensuring team members are properly trained to succeed.
- Lead change management to drive optimized processes and team efficiency, with a strong focus on Service Cloud CRM adoption.
- Own annual reviews, development plans, coaching, and administrative tasks such as expense approvals.
- Build a cohesive team culture where every member feels valued, and manage recruiting, onboarding, or workforce adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate closely with peer leaders across Commercial, Product Management, and Operations (Manufacturing, Development) to keep the wider organization aligned.
What You Bring
- University degree, preferably in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Telecom, Data Center, or structured cabling design; at least 3 years supervisory experience.
- Proven success in leadership and managing technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting to C‑level executives with the finesse to manage expectations and difficult conversations.
- Fluent in English; any other European language is a plus.
- Strong ability to resolve customer challenges through cross‑functional collaboration.
- Experience driving organizational change across people, process, and technology.
- Direct customer engagement experience – presenting, training, and demonstrating value propositions.

Flexibility for short‑notice travel (24–48 hours) and overnight stays is essential.
Requirements
Valid EU work authorization or citizenship, plus a current, valid driving license with a clean record for international car rentals.

Minimum 40‑hour work week plus travel time as required.
