Overview
In this role you will design, configure, test, and maintain S/4HANA and connected SAP/non-SAP finance applications across a global ERP Finance landscape. You act as a bridge between ERP solutions, business units, and product owners to map processes to ERP solutions and deliver the Finance Product Roadmap. You will work with cross-functional teams to re-imagine processes, ensure compliance, and drive scalable finance capabilities across regions. This is a hands-on, globally impactful role in a leading agriscience company.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Serve as the primary IT contact for SAP Finance across a multi-country S/4HANA rollout
- Map local financial, controllership, and taxation processes to the global S/4HANA template
- Define functional and non-functional requirements; focus on GL, cFIN, BPC, and tax applications
- Collaborate with ERP/BPEs, Solution Engineers, and Architects to optimize processes while ensuring compliance, security, performance, and cost targets
- Translate process designs into SAP S/4HANA system designs, including Rise components and SAP Cloud solutions
- Create design documents, requirements traceability, and test scenarios
- Manage legal, regulatory, and tax-driven ERP changes and integrations with bolt-on/non-SAP systems
- Configure GL and cFIN, tax calculation processes, DRC, and related tax functionality
- Design and implement BPC reporting and upstream/downstream integrations with SAP/non-SAP BW and data lakes; enable front-end reporting (PowerBI, Alteryx)
- Perform functional and non-functional testing (unit, SIT, UAT, regression, performance) and support upgrades
- Identify dependencies and manage ERP scope within ongoing IT initiatives
- Draft functional designs at SAP table-field level and guide developers
- Support SAP upgrade cycles through validation and deployment
- Assist with SAP Security roles and authorization objects
- Contribute to cross-platform AI, automation, reporting, and data lineage efforts for ERP data
- Provide hands-on resolution for production issues and application maintenance
- Maintain global SAP solutions through end-of-life planning and transition to S/4HANA
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Fluent English communication skills; strong presentation abilities
- Experience in Finance, Controlling or Taxation domain; SAP Finance integration with other ERP processes (OTC, PTP, Manufacturing) preferred
- Ability to research, evaluate, and propose SAP/non-SAP or ERP-augmentation solutions
- Proven ability to independently design and configure SAP Finance processes (GL, cFIN, BPC, Tax)
- Attention to detail and quality in deliverables; ability to work autonomously
- Experience with multi-country SAP environments and cross-functional collaboration; prior work with Big4 SAP integrators preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field; CPA and/or advanced accounting degree preferred
- Approximately 10 years of SAP Finance experience; SAP certification preferred
