Responsibilities
The Category Growth Manager, in collaboration with the Senior or Director Category Growth, is accountable for the assigned brands within the category (Price / Presence / Promotion) based on shopper, customer and market insights. The goal is to develop business for Coty above market average in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). The manager develops compelling trade arguments for Concept Sells and presents them during sales meetings. As part of the interdisciplinary business team, the manager works independently on the assigned category or brand, brings the sales perspective into gate meetings and S&OP meetings with risk and opportunities.
- Develop and create business plans and category positioning strategies.
- Implement powerful initiatives across the four P’s (Product / Place / Promotion / Price).
- Execute “Go To Market” strategies for new products or new distribution channels in DACH.
- Develop pricing concepts and strategic trade arguments, especially regarding SRM strategies.
- Define product list prices and monitor trade margin.
- Set Coty Category core assortments.
- Develop and implement innovative launch and secondary placement concepts (stationary and e‑retail).
- Create growth‑oriented channel marketing strategies.
- Develop and acquire POS material / additions / local product modifications.
- Track sales of the developed initiatives.
- Calculate and track P&L for the developed initiatives / ROI.
- Collaborate with Sales / Marketing / Instore Excellence / Finance / Supply and global marketing and global & regional trade marketing.
- Present the sales round to the internal and external sales force.
- Project evaluation (ex‑post review based on sales figures).
- Plan, monitor and steer in‑store promotions, tester and sample budgets while considering brand profitability for the brand to be managed.
- Support key account managers in customer appointments.
Ideal Fit
- Successfully completed a bachelor or master degree in business economics with a focus on marketing or sales.
- Relevant professional experience in product management, key account or trade marketing in an international consumer goods company.
- Excellent German and English skills in spoken and written.
- Secure handling of MS‑Office.
- Knowledge of IRI/Nielsen/GfK panel and SAP.
- Experience in the beauty industry.
- Familiar with trade structures in Germany, Austria & Switzerland.
- Strong numerical affinity and analytical thinking.
- Negotiation skills and experience with trade arguments.
- Entrepreneurial thinking and self‑driven work approach.
- Goal‑oriented and structured action.
- Strong communication skills and social competence.
- Very good presentation skills and techniques.
