Your tasks and responsibilities:

• You work in an agile team that significantly supports the developer target group of cloud-native applications. With your professional experience, you bring the perspective of the application developer and take on the task of evaluating and implementing components of the Developer Platform. In doing so, you investigate and evaluate market solutions as well as cloud-native-based implementation approaches, conduct "Proof of Concepts" and ultimately provide suitable solutions.
• Your responsibilities also include maintaining and supporting already implemented solutions. In doing so, you also help users from the developer community to use the components efficiently. Your work always focuses on keeping the effort for support and maintenance as low as possible through automation.
• Regular exchange with users from various IT areas as well as outside IT is part of your responsibilities. This allows you to learn about the recurring problems in the field of software development at Covestro. This enables you to identify use cases for best practices and reusable software components and implement them.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• You have a university degree in computer science or natural sciences and at least multiple years of professional experience in cloud-based application development and automation of application lifecycles
• You are proficient in common programming languages for implementing backend logic (e.g., Python, TypeScript)
• You have extensive experience in provisioning and maintaining solutions on AWS with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation/CDK) and serverless hosting of applications (Lambda functions, containers)
• A good understanding of virtualization, containerization, and orchestration technologies is part of your expertise
• You also bring a good understanding of Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery processes for automated software delivery and are familiar with common components (Lint, Security, Build, Test, Deploy)
• Agile working is part of your mindset, and you are well-versed in agile methodologies and the corresponding tools
• You are highly motivated to continuously learn new technologies and implement them in a value-creating way for Covestro
• With your fluent German and English language skills, you complement your excellent communication and collaboration abilities

This position can also be performed on a part-time basis. If interested, please indicate your desired weekly working hours.
