Our CEO (Chief Executive Officer) function is responsible for the strategic direction and further development of Covestro as well as the corporate culture, and includes, among other things, all of the Group’s control functions, as well as innovation management and sustainability.
Your internship will take place in the "Sustainability Ratings, Reporting & Social Responsibility" area, where the topics of sustainability reporting, ESG ratings and rankings, human rights and donations are handled. We work on sustainability issues that affect all business units and are relevant for Covestro as a whole.
Your Tasks:
- You will work on various strategic sustainability topics for Covestro in different areas of the team and gain broad experience in the field of sustainability and social issues
- In particular, you will support the strategic further development of our sustainability reporting, materiality analysis and sustainability KPI audit, as well as support ESG ratings
- As a full member of the team, you will support various projects in the area of sustainability and have the opportunity to independently manage your own sub-projects
- Your tasks include conducting research and analyses, project management, creating presentations and communication materials (including for senior management)
- Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing and implementing activities in the area of sustainability communication and engagement, and play a leading role in managing Covestro’s global sustainability community
- You will support us in integrating sustainability into our business processes to meet the expectations of our stakeholders and our own values
What makes us curious:
- You are studying economics, sustainability management, business administration, management, communication sciences, natural sciences or a comparable subject in a master’s program and have a good to very good grade point average
- You have already gained relevant professional experience, e.g. through other internships
- Advanced skills in common MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint, are essential
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI) as well as initial insights into agile working methods are an advantage
- You have a strong interest in sustainability topics
- You would describe yourself as analytical, structured and communicative, have a high level of self-motivation, and enjoy working in a team
- You have excellent German and English language skills (at least B2 level) in speaking and writing
A German work permit is required. In addition, you must be able to present a valid enrollment certificate for the entire duration of the internship.
