Junior Treasurer (m / f / d)

The CFO (Chief Financial Officer) Community manages Covestro’s financial processes. It is also responsible for providing legal services and IT solutions to the company as a whole.

Within the central Finance and Insurance division, we – Corporate Treasury (CT) – are responsible for the Group\’s cash management, market price risk management through the use of financial instruments, asset management pension and the Group\’s financing.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitoring and analysis of relevant financial risks such as foreign exchange, interest rate, equity and raw material price risk, incl. energy.
2. Execution of financial hedges under consideration of risk limits and policies.
3. Further development and optimization of Covestro’s global risk management and hedging processes.
4. Planning and execution of short-term investments under consideration of Covestro’s liquidity risk policy.
5. Support and enable automation and digitalization of processes and the financial analysis toolbox within Corporate Treasury.
6. Further development and support the preparation of Management Reportings.
7. Support the Cash Management Team in daily operational processes.
8. Contribution and support to a broad range of cross-functional projects.

WHAT YOU OFFER:

1. University degree preferably in Economics and ideally first experience in treasury-related business.
2. Strong analytical mindset incl. quantitative methods as well as good understanding of financial markets and relevant derivative products.
3. Profound knowledge of economics and implications on foreign exchange and interest rate markets as well as global asset classes.
4. Digital Native who helps us taking the digitalization of treasury processes to the next level (Programming skills such as VBA, Python, SQL of advantage).
5. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment building good working relationships.
6. Ability to interact and negotiate effectively at all levels with both internal and external counterparties.
7. Strong verbal and written communications skills in German and English.
