Engineering (ENG) is a group of highly motivated and experienced project engineers who translate Covestro\’s global business strategy into real assets, develop and execute investment projects, and control large global contractors.
As a Project Engineer (m / f / d), you manage multiple small and medium single-site capital investment projects, including the responsibility for safety, costs, quality, and schedule to meet project goals. You will also work in large capital investment projects as a discipline lead (m / f / d).
In detail, this includes the following tasks:
- Manage capital investment projects, including safety, costs, quality, and schedule of the assigned project to reach project goals.
- Coordinate all project team members throughout all project phases until mechanical completion and commissioning support.
- Perform all standard project management tasks for the project, including scope management, cost control, schedule compliance, risk identification and mitigation, deliverable quality, and reporting.
- Represent the projects towards the Steering Committee and Stakeholders.
- Develop engineering, execution, and contracting strategies to ensure that engineering, procurement, and construction inputs are considered in the project concept.
- Manage continuous and active risk to ensure project performance.
WHAT YOU OFFER:
- University degree (University of Applied Sciences or Technical College / Dipl.-Ing. or Master) with a major in Process, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or another appropriate scientific discipline, or technical apprenticeship with long-standing work experience in investment projects.
- Work experience in industry or engineering companies, preferably as a project leader or engineering manager.
- High leadership, management, and stakeholder skills (e.g., ability to live owners engineering).
- Experience with scheduling and cost planning.
- Fluent written and spoken German and English skills.
