Head of Sales - Capital Equipment Plant Systems | Switzerland A Swiss-headquartered manufacturer of bespoke Capital Equipment/Bioprocessplant systems for the pharma and biopharma industry is seeking to appoint a Head of Sales - a newly created, standalone leadership position reporting directly to the CEO. This is a genuinely strategic appointment for a business going through an exciting period of change following a recent acquisition by a global engineering group. You will lead the global sales organisation, take ownership of key European accounts, and shape the commercial strategy and culture of the business going forward. The Role Lead and develop a sales team of front‑line and technical sales professionals based in Switzerland Take full ownership of the commercial strategy across Europe and the USA, with a focus on rebuilding and expanding the European customer network Coordinate with joint sales resources across other European markets within a matrix organisation Represent the business at executive level with key accounts and strategic partners Bring a proactive, hunter‑led commercial approach to a business that has historically operated more reactively About You Minimum 5 years' management or senior commercial leadership experience Background in capital equipment sales within upstream, downstream or fill/finish environments, or significant exposure to pharma/biopharma plant or process engineering projects A strong, active network of relevant customer contacts across Europe Fluency in German and English Comfortable in a largely on‑site role based in Switzerland, with flexibility for 1‑2 days remote per week Willing to travel regularly across Europe to visit customers and represent the business The Package Base salary CHF 160,000 - 180,000 Strong Swiss pension, accident and social security benefits This is a rare opportunity to take genuine ownership of a commercial function at a pivotal moment for the business, with real autonomy to shape the strategy and team going forward.
