The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for oversite of the General Ledgers of five entities (Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Poland), maintains integrity of income statements as well as the balance sheet ledgers.
This is an onsite role based in Dusseldorf.
Essential Job Functions:
Accounts Payable:
- Responsible for timely and accurate accounts payable processing.
- Managing incoming Invoice mailboxes (sorting and distribute Transport invoices to India)
- Processes invoices by entering them into accounting system and communicates with vendors and branches on issues.
- Processes overhead and intercompany invoices
- Filing of processed invoices
Accounts receivable:
- Processes intercompany recharges
- Processes credit notes related to customers
- Create manual and/or batch payments
- Asset administration (activation, disposals and depreciation of assets)
- P&L analysis
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries including supporting documentation
- Month-end and Year-end activities (cost allocations, reclasses and accruals)
- Research and resolve accounting issues
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- VAT-calculation and filing (monthly/quarterly)
- Monthly reporting in OneStream.
Ad hoc activities
- Perform credit checks for new customers
- Assist with annual audits
- Ad hoc projects
- IDEV reporting
- CBS reporting
